MRVphotog mentions:
"When I met FB it was at Common Ground Fair and he looked like many other guys in that environment"

That's true. If FB ever wants to be incognito, that's the place to be. Those who have seen the Common Ground Fair will understand. That said, the odds of an attendee of the Common Ground Fair being in a fast food place near Argyle, Maine being slim to none made it highly probable that this individual was indeed Forest Beekeeper.

Mrs. Beekeeper had an interesting remark. She said, "There, you see? He figured out how to go out on a submarine for one day instead of three months." ;-)

I knew it! Such an interesting man as Forest just HAD to have a beautiful, sassy red-head at his side! Mrs, Beekeeper will have to join the YaYas!! I feel sure she'll fit right in.

Huge crowd and your family was frantic, like 'Lucy Ball in the bon-bon factory'.

I completely understood when I saw the size of the crowds, and you were saying how fast you were running out of food.

It was great to see you

Well thank you!

I do so enjoy having such naturally good looks

I must hand it to you in that regard, you were fortunate to have had the wisdom to fly and to stick with flying, rather than to live underwater.

Well, I'm jealous.

Once I got over the improbability of two such salt-of-the-earth characters being in such an OBVIOUSLY uncharacteristic and unnatural environment as a fast food restaurant --- there is no one I'd prefer to meet over Northern Maine Land Man.

Cept. Mollysmile and a few others.

What is a fast food restaurant doing close to Argyle Maine? That's not included in my brochure.

My client needed a rest room and picked the fast food place. I had never been in the place before. Talk about a chance meeting. I'm sure our meeting would have gone on much longer if I had not been with a client.

You have a brochure on Argyle, Maine?

It was not 'IN' Argyle, rather it was in Old Town [or maybe Orono I am confused about where that town line is located].

While I live in an unorganized township, which sounds like it should be far far far back down a gravel road out away from all civilization. I actually live very close to Old Town [with it's famous Bowling Alley], Orono [A state University campus], and Bangor [a city with an international airport, and everything].

My DW had slipped on some steps while cooking down hog fat to make 'cracklings' and lard for soap. Her back hurt so I drove her into Bangor to see her doctor. We were on our way back to Old Town to drop off the scripts and get her new drugs, when we drove by a Wendys. Where NMLM was meeting a client.

Argyle has no fast food restaurants. We have no stores at all. We do have one stop sign, but you can't see it unless you come into Argyle via an unnamed and unpainted cross-road.

Alton however is a much larger town. They have a FD! They have a small Maine-style grocery store [deli counter, dry goods, ammunition, sandwiches, and movie rental all in one place], and one dance hall [bring your own bottles].

I passed by the Alton general store, and the pink dancehall today and thought of you and your lovely wife Forest. I was on the way to Bangor to the dentist. Gotta admit though, on the way home I wasn't thinking much atall.

:LOL !! Forest that's a HUGE relief. I never had a mental image of you or NMLM bellied up to a fast-food counter. LOL !! And now that image is sacred. LOL !!
I hope your DW feels so much better. MAN, I haven't had cracklin in lllll YEARS. I thought that was a deep-south thing.
My weakness: I am neither southern NOR northern. Seem to lean way more toward northern but have spent YEARS being a southern. Which is where I found and stuffed myself on cracklins years ago.
At any rate, your wonderful 'non fast food' images are intact and best wishes to your lovely wife ....
I SO did not picture a nice natural farmer having need of big macs. LOL !!! I'm training the family ... when we stop at redlights: Look around you. There will not be THIS many people in our entire town. We don't eat much fast food though lately seem to be hitting it some. But, any time we eat out I tell them: This is over. LOL.
They don't mind. They like being taken care of at home.
I'm still jealous !!
Old Town has a famous bowling alley??

"an international airport and everything ....."

I love the definition of the Alton grocery. Things are so different all over the place. In Phoenix because the bars close early you go to Seven eleven to buy your stoli. (vodka) Or so they explained it to me when I expressed amazement that it was on the shelf.
The important thing is that it's cool yall met. You've met alot of people from this board. WOW !!
Please tell the lovely DW feel better soonest !

LOL

I do understand, snow on the road, deer standing there looking at you as you drive by, moose?

No, better to pay attention to driving.

I do think that dance hall is located in a weird location though.
