I love the comment someone made on here a couple of weeks ago. It was great advice......

Wait till it STOPS snowing before you shovel! Wisdom there!

you'd *think* it was great advice, but sometimes--especially on the coast, if we don't shovel before the changeover we're shoveling very heavy wet snow....or worse, we get a changeover, it freezes up again, and we're shoveling through a nice layer of ice down to snow. The other thing that happens--would you like the 3 foot snowbank or the 6 foot snowbank at the end of your driveway? lol...nope, it's been my experience that you don't wait

I agree Molly. When it's a really BIG storm, shovel at least twice during the storm. That 6 foot snow bank at the end of the driveway is not fun to deal with at all. Plus, if the wind is blowing, you need to clear your doors too. Don't want to be trapped in the house in case of an emergency.

But I'm still hoping that Foxboro gets hammered for the game. The snow will be flying all afternoon

Believing a 4-day forecast, y'all have a lot more faith in your weather folks than I do in the Canadian ones.

I'm with you Cornerguy. I believe the weather people up here, about as far as I can see out my own door. Downstate they may be better than the one for this area, but up here, he might get it right for the same afternoon, it's a lucky guess for the next day, and a blessed miracle beyond that.

I would love to be a weatherperson. You get paid for being wrong. Sounds like the ideal job. However, I rely on my trusty weather rock..it has never failed me.
