Your contact has apparently come through and saved the deal. Paperwork is being forwarded to my attorney and we are scheduled to close on Friday.
(Bonus: interest rate is better and the PMI is actually going to be less than the VA fee. Now I'm wondering just exactly what "benefit" there really was to going with the VA. Another case of "Hi, we're with the government and we're here to help you, do you have any Vaseline handy?"???? So much for "benefits" for vets.)

Thank you all. I think I'm still going to be holding my breath until the last signature goes on the papers. I should be a lovely shade of blue by then, maybe I can try out to be a Smurf.
