I'm going to go with Deboullie Mountain deep into northwest Aroostook County. The view from the top of Deboullie is stunning. All you see is remote ponds and woods, with very little sign of humans. No cell phone towers, paved roads, houses, or anything like that. Gardner Pond, the next pond over, can only be accessed by foot and boat. Pushineer, Black, Denny, and Togue ponds are all right there, and they are all beautiful. There are some nice hiking trails and great fishing. I love going up in mid-October or so for a day trip and hike the mountain when nobody is likely to be around.

Other favorites:

The beginning of the Hundred Mile Wilderness past Monson from Route 15 to Bell Pond, especially on show shoes in the winter when it looks completely untouched.

Fort Point State Park on really hot days. It's a quiet place to take a camp chair, sit in ankle deep water, and read one of the Maine magazines.

Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth. Big rocks, big waves, and usually not too many people.

Chick Hill in Clifton, which is a great place to take in a sunset.

The northern part of Baxter State Park, including the four ponds trail, Trout Brook Mountain, Traveler Mountain, and South Branch Mountain.

Sebago Brewing in the Old Port.

There are so many others!

Beauchamp Point in Rockport. I walk here almost every day and never get tired of it. Just beautiful!

Man that sounds so awesome. I'm stuck in the middle east with blazing heat, no trees, and no grass. Can't wait to be in the woods again.
