Coming up... Rain... Yeah... Welcome to New England. lol.

This cold air is leaving and the Jet stream is lifting north which will allow temps to warm up and with the next frontal system it will mean Rain Sunday. Northern areas sleet or snow though.

Then................coastal storm and Potential for a Blizzard on Tuesday. Wont go into details but the potential is there for entire state. 1 model says the coast will be rain.

A few tidbits:
We had received less than one inch of snow at this time last year. This year, we are at 27 inches.

Today's high was 11. That will be the record "lowest high" in November. (Probably). Ordinarily, it could be in the 50s this time of year.....

I dropped the car off at the repair shop this evening, then walked home. A little over a mile. I have never had to worry about frostbite in November, but with that windchill, I had to this evening!
Thanksgiving came at an opportune time this year..............this could be depressing, but what's a little cold and snow......We could be living in California, or Florida, or New Orleans, or any of the other places where the weather can be deadly.

To quote Cambium in the Connecticut weather thread:

Todays Max Temps: How Cold?

Hartford: 21° (Coldest November Max Temp on record) Nobody alive has experienced a cold day like this in Hartford area!

Bridgeport: 29° (Coldest November max temp since 1989)
Boston: 24° (Coldest since 1901)
Providence: 24° (Coldest since 1929)
Albany: 19° (Coldest since 1938)
NYC: 28° (Coldest since 1932)
Islip: 29° (Ties for coldest)

Philly max came after midnight of 33. But this afternoon they didn't pass 29°F which would be coldest since 1901!

6 above and windy at sunrise. Awesome full moon setting. I saw a flock of about 40 snow buntings. First time I ever saw snow buntings in Maine in November.

I had to see how it looked on paper...

Here is Portland, Maine.

Not sure I buy that 6° November 1875. Either way, coldest November max temp since 1800s happened yesterday. So nobody alive today in the Portland area experienced a November daytime temp that cold!
