To me 'crime' must have a victim.

I see no 'crime' in personal use of pot.

However manufacturing hard drugs or selling drugs to children, I can see a victim as they do not have medical use, are addictive and can be deadly.

I know an elderly lady who grows her own. She has never smoked. She brews a strong tea of her crop and takes it as an enema. It works for her and prevents the nausea from her chemo.

Default looking forward to a safer environment for my kids

We are looking forward to leaving NC (have 30-40 murders in pop of 200K each year) and moving to Maine. Even though I am not personally afraid of being a victim, it affects your state of mind reading about it all the time. The other thing is being in the cross fire, which does happen occasionally. We had a bunch who were robbing a house, police pursue, shots fired, car crash into unsuspecing folks at 5:45 pm just driving down the street. That and the thug lifestyle on the street and in the schools. Just sick and tired of it and don't want it to be around our lives anymore.
