Can you tell I get homesick? Nothing I mean nothing beats Maine living and I have lived in many states while serving in the Army. Thank you for your kind words!!

I would like to have a stove, a fireplace, nice rug, comfortable chairs, shelves for my books, and a desk for writing and business. I really look forward to the "outdoor furnishings," the communities and beautiful countryside, that I have been seeing and reading about in this fine forum.

The llbean HOME catalogue arrived today I just have to tell myself, that anything I buy I will have to move and I don't know what my Maine house will look like or need...so look thru it for ideas not for purchases. (tho some of the spring linens look so refreshing and the braided rugs look so charming!)

I'm thinking at this point that I'd be happy for a home with 3 or 4 wood stoves or fireplaces and a few dozen acres of trees! And a nice cozy chair or two will be nice too!

I love that irish chain quilt on the front.....and on page 19--those lamps! I would never be able to justify spending that much on a couple of lamps, but I love those

"Have to pack and move it! Have to pack and move it!"

This has become my mantra during these post season sales! I want, I want, I want........but not as much as I WANT to move to Maine!! If I keep spending money on frivolous things to beautify my current surroundings, I may never be able to CHANGE my current surroundings.

I'm preaching to the choir, here. Just ignore my rantings. I'm putting the credit cards away - NOW!!!

I can totally relate to this. I had so many houses decorated in my head.
It's so much fun. I love the whole cottagey homey lived in look. Braided rugs fit so nice with that look.
