3) Where In Maine and Why = we'll know it when we see it. On or near a lake/river. Why? Because we can and it's the right thing to do (and i love that fresh pine in the air)
4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = not an option

1) Current City and State = Bowie, MD between DC & Baltimore
2) Why do you want to leave = high crime rates, area has grown too fast, we just got our own police even tho there are over 50,000 people, here, the summer heat, humidity
3) Where In Maine and Why = Portland because I don't drive, want to be able to walk to places, not rely on my husband who isn't even sure how much longer he will drive; have family in Auburn & Bangor, love it in the summer, grew up in RI & know all about cold & snow
4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = Tried to find a state we'd both agree to - there weren't any. He's from PA, doesn't want to go back
5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = were going to try to sell house last yr but had unexpected med problems, going to try to make it this year
6) Anything else you want to tell us? Nope

1) Current City and State = Spotswood, NJ
2) Why do you want to leave = I was on the fence about leaving being I was born and raised here but the cost of living is just unbearable. It is almost impossible to make it here.
3) Where In Maine and Why = my husband was lucky enough to be offered great job in Portland. I had never even been to Maine but decided to just go for it. We have a 3 and 4 year old and seems like a great place to raise children. Besides, a 6 hour drive back home to visist is no big deal.
4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = we considered PA but couldn't find a job.
5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = trying to sell our house and was hoping to hold of until summer. The hubby just keeps flying back and forth.
6) Anything else you want to tell us? = If anyone looking to move to the Portland area with Corporate Finance experience DM me, my husband is currently looking for employees...

1.) Current city and state: Naples, Florida
2.) Why do you want to leave : I'm getting older and so are my grandchildren and parents and they are all in Maine. Time to come home again. Plus, the heat is killing us and the crime is going to.
3.) Where in Maine and why: Limestone. Why is kind of funny. We bought a piece of land in Woodland and want to build on it someday. Our kids and family are all in Cape Neddick (southern Maine) but when talking to all of you wonderful people on here I found a rent in Limestone on Craig's List that we just couldn't pass up. Southern Maine is not really where we want to be. We are looking for the Maine of our youth. Southern Maine in the 50's and 60's is more like what northern Maine is like now.
4.) 2nd and 3rd place states: "southern Maine or New Hampshire
5.) What is currently holding you back from moving: Just waiting for there to be a bit less snow for traveling. Leaving Florida the end of March.
6.) Anything else you want to tell us: THANK YOU Maine people are just so wonderful and we can't wait to be home again. See you all soon.
