Hi all,
I know I've seen Boar's Head deli products somewhere between South Portland and Topsham recently....but can't remember where I don't think it was a major chain supermarket (don't they all carry the same stock?) Any ideas?
thanks so much!

Thanks! It's not the place I was thinking of :light bulb off:
but it's close enough!! I've been making hot open-faced sandwiches
with their honey maple (or similar type) turkey: ultra thin slices of meat on top of whole grain bread with fat-free turkey gravy, and side of whole cranberry sauce.
I appreciate the tip!

Publix supermarkets has them if you have any in your area. I always trust the product and would not buy any other brand.

hehehe! Sorry, no Publix in Maine, that's a Florida thing neighbor!
Shaws or Hannaford are the 2 big grocery stores up there. Funny though, as I was thinking the same thing when I read the OP.

Gotta go- running to Publix!

bagel mania, sells boars head and pine tree market in northeast harbor sells it also,,

its a tough deli line to sell,,very expensive! but also, its an exclusive commodity, meaning if you carry this line, you cant sell any other line or brand of deli items

Thanks everyone for the additional responses!

MaineBrokerMan, I'm puzzled about Boar's Head being an exclusive product?

When I'm picking up groceries at the Shop N'Shop in MA on my way back north each week, they have for example Boar's Head cheeses, but also Finlandia and Alpine Lace. I don't know about the turkey or other meats though.

I do wish it was a little less expensive. Since I don't buy any meat but poultry, and very little of that, I like to get Boar's Head or similar quality, watching for sales of course I wish Trader Joe's would open a store up this way. They also carry a nice quality packaged turkey at a good price.

Publix?
I'm still carrying around a Kroger card from a Virginia vacation a few years ago, but Publix is new one for me. Didn't check out the turkey prices at Kroger but the wine was dirt cheap!
