Thanks for the good thoughts! This is farm related. I did it. We'll see how it goes. I almost chickened out on the last two. I still haven't mustered up the courage to send in the children's stories.

It is a bit of an early birthday present (another one, as K got me a book on silk screen printing last week and already gave it to me); I got myself a good deal on a second Gazetteer, and a couple of other books. One I picked up on account of the title and cover graphics when we were at the bookstore recently and read a bit, laughing out loud all the while. It was called "Crazy Aunt Purl's Drunk, Divorced, and Covered in Cat Hair" and it is actually about knitting (not how-to but stories). A crazy knitting friend says it is as fun to read as I had hoped from the first few pages so... I also got one about spinning with a drop spindle, since I have got one of those and no idea what to do with it, and I also picked up a bit of wool roving to play with.
Which made me want to follow up on the loom I had inquired about, but the owner won't be home until tomorrow. It is up MaineWriter's way, and I am cooking up a deal (if the seller is willing) to mail a check, have MR or some of her crew pick it up on their wanders (they are willing with good directions) and carry it down this way when their errands bring them in this direction, as happens now and again.
I love this state!
