Oh, FB, that stupid dog is up to her tricks AGAIN??? lol I love her to death, but I think I'll stay away till she smells better... glad it's you guys and not us. She'll find her way into just about any trouble won't she? But at least she's a loveable dumb dog.

I've also tried the Summers Eve on a black Chow that had met up with a skunk. While it wasn't perfect, it did help much better than the tomato juice.
It also made me want to take a long walk on the beach holding hands with my daughter... Sorry, just got the visual of an old tv commercial.

We did use some H2O2 last night. I have a lot of 40% peroxide on hand. But it just did not seem to do much good.
Tonight she is not coming inside, she wants to stay out in the goat pen. I won't push the issue so long as she does not want inside.

Our first skunk of the season has made its appearance. Steve let one of the dogs out at 4:30 this morning. He was LUCKY. It stole a couple of duck eggs for breakfast.
I use Skunk Off! on the dogs and cat. You spray it on, rub it in and you're done. Living with three dogs whose missions in life are to search and destroy pests and predators, we can go through a lot of Skunk Off! We've had only one dog that never got sprayed. He was bilaterally deaf and didn't hear what was going on until it was over otherwise he'd have been in the middle of it too.

Do you have the same problem with porcupines? Talk about a mess! Many years ago my ex -dh and I owned a kennel. We raised / trained/ bred Blue Ticks used for hunting purposes, mostly coon but some were also trained for cat and bear as well. Man we had one that never learned his lesson when it came to porcupines. Occassionally we were able to remove them ourselves, other times we'd have to bring him in to have him sedated to have the quills removed. Great hunter, just couldn't leave the damn porcupines alone.
