I hope it wasn't our NC germs that got you. We keep thinking they are done, then they come back for another attack. Don't do what I have been doing and push through even though you do not have any energy! HECK of a way to loose the pounds, even though they will not be missed. Better that we should both get better do some walking once things stay melted.
Hey, I saw EARTH when we were out to get kerosene today! (and I do not mean the "spring brown" on the piles by the road either <g> this stuff had brown grass on it, so I think it must be the real McCoy!)

Real ground?? I've only been to Topsfield (10 miles) and back today and didn't see anything but white. On the bright side, we have vehicles again. One or both were in the garage from late Monday afternoon until an hour ago. I can go out looking for earth now.

They have earth in Bangor. I was down there yesterday and it's a different world. I still have 32 inches on the front lawn and more than 4 feet in the woods.

I've got mud down here in Deer Isle- my whole driveway is a mud pit. Great for my son, not so great otherwise. I think I have one patch of snow over by the edge of my woods. The mud does freeze over at night, though, but it turns back into mud usually by mid-morning.

Is Angelina Jolie a hottie or a skank? I can't decide.

Glad you got your vehicles back and running. yes, REAL EARTH though not anything I would try to dig or plant in yet... no sign of the earth waking up yet... though it is telling me it is coming.
My friends in WV have a tradition called Whuppity-Scurry (or something like that...) wherein they take to the woods on Groundhog day and whoop and holler and bang pots and pans and take long willow whips and "whip" the earth and the trees and bushes telling the Mother it is time to awaken. that may work for there, but I am getting the feeling that were I to do a Maine version, it should happen the beginning of April not Feb.
The snow that fell here overnight has all but melted off. There are bits of clean white (a thin layer) remaining on the flat white surfaces of the snow, but where it fell on the "spring brown" piles, and on our driveway, it has melted.
If I get a chance I will photograph some of the real earth, just so that when you go looking, you have a clean image in your mind of what you seek. It's been longer since you saw it than since I did <g>

I'm going with hot. I also think she's pretty intelligent and since she divorced Tommy Lee Jones has cleaned up her 'bad girl' rep quite a bit.

I have seen her as 'Lara Croft', in 'Sky Captain', and 'Mr & Mrs Smith'.
I liked her in each of those roles.
Does that make her hot skank?

You mean Billy Bob Thornton. Angelina Jolie has had some rough times, and done some dumb things (as we all have). She's worked very hard to make positive changes in her life. Though most of her work isn't my personal cup of tea, I really like her.
