Moughie, Southern Cali wild flowers are running riot along the roads also....lupine and poppies and lots of exotics that look like colorful and sturdy daisy type flowers and then the gardens are in full bloom.

Very nice, moughie.

The transformation a desert goes through after a little moisture has always amazed me.

Star - BTW 'our' realtor finally returned to me the security deposit from when I rented from him when we first moved here. Thank you for your assistance in that matter.

Having rented from him for six months during the 2005-2006 winter, he told me that the apartment was clean and in good order and we should get all of our deposit back. Then each time I bumped into him, I had to pester him about it. and then leaving messages at his office every few months. It was really getting me down, and angry at realtors in general. Then while helping you to move into your place. I know that I did get rather loud and abrasive with him, but get real, it is 2008 already. How many years does he really expect to keep dragging this on for? I googled his name, and could not believe all of the community involvement awards that he has been getting. Anyway he finally gave my wife a check for the deposit. He kept over half of the amount.

So thank you for allowing me to explain to him exactly why my impression of him is rather low, while we were in your new home.

I noticed today that Zymer hasn't posted in a long time.

Has anyone heard from him since he purchased his new home??

Also, any updates on Abby and her husband....and their new Maine digs??

Enquiring minds, you know

no problem.. I am glad the matter finally did get settled, such as it was. We still do not have a fridge, but the "frozen food cooler" in the pickup seems to be staying pretty cold, and I would not want to have to try to move a fridge in the snow either. If it doesn't show by the weekend, I will dig the dorm fridge out of storage. We will need to shuffle that anyway, as there are things that need to come both directions. We also don't have the proper steps yet...

On the other hand I have not put the electric into my name yet, either...

We picked up my work clothes today, as I need to go to Microdyne tomorrow for an "interview" and they are expecting me to start training Monday. So much for settleing in time.
