Northern Maine gets plenty of both. This year we are having a normal winter. The last few winters we have had below normal precipitation. We can't compete with Oregon and Washington for rain. If you're a real rain lover that's the place to be. Our brooks don't go dry in the summer if that's what you want.

Usually, though NOT this year, the coast doesn't get as much snow as the rest of the state. A common term for the weatherman is "rain on the coast" during the winter. But we don't get a lot of rain, either.

That would describe my view of Maine.

So Westyguy, where are you looking for?

Looking at your other posts I see where you say you live in Denver, then another you say you live in Texas. And just where are you moving to? Here you say you are thinking of Maine, but other posts have you moving for sure to Westminster, Colorado (Outside of Denver) as well as Chicago, as well as Idaho. Do you really have a legit question, or just killing time by posting the same general question on multiple forums here?
