Tapestry - Several of us probably know where you are staying but we would know it from the street address and not the name of the cottage, do you know the house number on Water Street?

The reunion in June in no way precludes meetings in Eastport in other months this summer and fall.
OOPS, should have read on before I made the last post. I could come up for the 3rd Saturday..possibly. Still working on DH. Good sign is we have increased our numbers to hit for hiring.. so lil' ol' me has just been offered some OT. More money in the bank for the kid's college will convince DH faster than anything else.

Would love to make it, but alas, will be packing up the house at that time frame. Add to that, it is Mom and Dads 50th anniversary in June, and a Nephew getting married. It is going to be a hectic month. I'll be there in spirit though if that counts for anything.

We will arrive around 8-10th of June to an empty cottage otherwise I would extend an invitation for someone to sleep at our place. We are shipping boxes of household items, dishes, cookware, linens, etc. to a friend in Eastport that will delivery them to the cottage. So our plan is to arrive by car with suitcases a blow up bed, 2 camp chairs and 2 wooden TV trays until I can furnish the cottage during the summer. DH wants no part in decorating but will move furniture and boxes.

Corgis, I would be interested in going to yard sales with you if you want company.

Also, if anyone in Eastport has a truck and would not mind hauling items for me if needed...I would pay for gas and time. I will be looking for used in good shape coastal cottage and/or a New England style/windsor kitchen table and chairs and a kitchen work table or island work cart. I can't afford new prices...see websites below for ideas of what I am looking.

New England Captain's Comb-Back Chair

Coastal Cottage Dining Tables

Thanks in advance for any assistance you may offer with a truck or furniture stores in Calais, Lubec and immediate area.

Do you need a fridge? I've got one that's almost brand new, also have a lot of furniture going down to Will's antique shop the end of May.

Be glad to take you yard saleing, show you where lot's of things are and show you the shortcuts I've found so far.

I have a lobster trap coffee table and end table also that we will no longer need.

I've seen an ad in the Quoddy Tides for a used furniture place in Pembroke. I don't have a paper nearby or else I give you a name.

I may have missed something else about this, but are you moving back to MI? I know you'd mentioned it a while back....I hate to see you go!

I stopped into that shop in Pembroke a couple of times and was WOWed by the over prices and lackluster goods.

Two good places to check:

The Church Bazzar on Rt one outside of Machias has great prices and they will reopen in May. Also, the Old School House in Bangor on route 9 as you come into town-great selection and good prices.
