Yeah, I am. Jobs call, and with 4 kids to think about putting through college and food on the table in the meantime, it has to be. We makes SO much less here than we did there, and everybody really misses living right by the lakes. I do love Maine, but for our family Michigan is just a better fit. I have tried it out here for 20 years total, and am just a better person (more relaxed) in Michigan. We work less hours and make much more, with much lower expenses.

Don't want to toss a downer in the thread though! I really wanted to get down to the meet & greet, but just won't be able to. I DO expect somebody to have a drink with the lot of you for me though. Beverage is your choice .

What's the Church Bazzar near in Machais. You've got me interested. I think that we will get a sleeper sofa for the camp.

Elston...oh yes nice stuff and nice prices...definitely out of budget right now. DH bought a lovely original 1800's antique Irish tea cart a couple of years ago...dark walnut stain. I have an Irish kitchen dresser that DH's father made that is dark maple. I have tea cups hanging from hooks from the top shelf to give it an authentic look.

I did notice the prices but admired "the look". Your kitchen set sounds charming.

Your post made me smile; my mom and dad lived in Eastport for little while when they retired. Mom loved loved loved yard sales. She bought for herself and also for her own yard sales lol. How she loved it! She particularly loved iron stone soup tureens and platters and old china plates. I shall have to go yard saleing in her memory.

Some of us (like me and maine4.us) will not be in Eastport all summer. Can we plan some kind of meet up around July 4?
