Wishes and Prayers for Long-Time Poster Elcarim
Hey everyone....
I just heard from Elcarim a bit ago, and I have some news. Yesterday she went to her chiropractor for what she thought must be a pinched nerve in her shoulder. After talking with her for a very short time, he determined that something was seriously wrong and sent her for an ultrasound at the local ER. They found a blood clot, and immediately admitted her. They are running a series of tests right now to determine the best way to handle this. As of right now, the clot is about two inches above her lung in a vein, and they haven't begun to any procedure to disperse it. She is on blood thinners however. I'm sure you all know how dangerous this can be. She is not able to move her arm or shoulder area at all, for obvious reasons. Many tests are being done, but they've yet to determine a cause for the clot, she doesn't have *any* of the typical circumstances that may cause one. Thank heavens the chiropractor realized what might be happening.
Please be thinking of her and send positive thoughts, blessings, prayers and such her way. Hopefully we will have her back in a couple of days.....

She's very lucky indeed that the chiropractor is such a good diagnostician, sending her for more tests immediately. Scary to think how this might have been overlooked.
Good thoughts on the way.

OMGosh, that is incredibly scary! Thank goodness she has such an excellent chiropractor and that he is so skilled as a diagnostician. Otherwise the outcome might have been very different and tragic.
Molly, thank you so much for letting us know. If you hear anything further, please keep us posted and let her know that we are thinking of her.

I will definitely keep you all posted....I'm hoping to talk to her again tonight. It's very scary, and I'll feel much better when they get in there and break that up. I had a feeling something was wrong, I hadn't heard from her and that's not typical.

Thanks for letting us know. I wondered late this morning why she hadn't been here yet. I'm thankful she has a good chiropractor. That's very scary.
