Can anyone from the Limestone area tell me what ever happen to the little Airforce radar site that was in caswell in the early 60's.

The dismantled it years ago. The housing that was around it was sold to an individual who tried to do something with rentals and it never really panned out as far as I know. Most of the houses are now gone also.

Thanks I lived there when I was A kid. And have always wondered what ever happened to the base.

Caswell slipped into decline, and Loring after they closed became a ghost town for quite a while. There were a few business' that had moved in, but all the housing sat empty for a couple of years before they tore them down. A majority of the housing on the main base is gone, and half the building are still sitting empty. For those of us who were out there a lot while they were active areas it is kind of depressing to drive through there now.
