Yes, I absolutely feel that "I Am Home!" I am feeling a deep peace and connection; it is as if everything has found its place. The timing is perfect. We arrived at the very end of winter/earliest spring so we saw the snow receed and the ice out and the first green shoots and crocuses and caught the return of wood ducks and the migration northward of the juncos. We heard the first spring peepers and frogs in the marsh, the love lorn gobbles of the adolescent and solitary turkeys, looking for love in all the right places. Now we are on the brink of the seasonal roll in all its giddiness and solemnity. What an amazing privledge to be here and to witness it all.

Spent a good part of the day, digging holes for landscape trees, shrubs and plantings. My DP did most of the heavy lifting and I did a lot of prep work, consulting and clean up. Also started trying to get a bit of lawn seeded and watered--but want to avoid the expanse of lawn that adds to polution and energy consumption and a monotony of monoculture.

Life is good. Life is thrilling. Maine is beautiful.

Well, keep your fingers crossed - again! We have another showing at 4:15 today. I think our agent knows her contract is running out NOT to be renewed in a month.

Elston, I really missed you. It's amazing how someone that I've never met can feel so dear to me. I am so happy for you and your family.

Yep, stories like Elston's and Stacie's keep us dreaming! Just waiting for our turn. And I love how interconnected we all can feel with complete strangers on this board. Strangers no more after a few weeks around here!
