Finally had our first showing today since November! I was completely unprepared, but I was able to get it together before they got here - barely. Things still aren't tip top since I got home from the hospital, but they are now! I'm just happy, at this point, that we have some activity.
Now, we're just waiting on the feedback email the realtor always sends. It was our agent showing it, so I know we will get feedback this time, which is always nice just to keep a handle on how it's showing.
XXXXXXXXXXfingers crossed!!

More stress...
The inspection report is in... and the inspector has declared "my dream house" uninhabitable, which doesn't surprise me... but it appears that there are serious structural issues as well as serious electrical ones that need to be addresses post haste. Apparently floor joists to the second floor were cut for plumbing and on the ground floor, there is serious damage. Rot, termites..
And the main electric panel needs replacing too.
I may still move on it, but ...... K seems to have the idea that the price on that much land should be for a house in much better repair, but that is based on nothing but gut feelings. I have the opinion that when exercising the owner finance option we aren't exactly in the strongest of stances...
The inspector, when I spoke with him to follow up on some of the points of his report, gave me the number of a property management company that he recommends... to see if they could help with a rental while we looked farther, and/or some other property. I have talked to the wife of the outfil who said that the rental dept was her husbands and she would pass along my needs. She did not quibble at the cats and dog (and I SAID "Saint Bernard") only asked if we smoked and needed to be IN Milo... So things are (once again) very much in the air, except for one thing.. I am coming to Maine. This weekend.
Gods this is stressful...

Oh no!! I only know of one house open in Milo, It's in the Bangor Daily News Classifieds but it says no pets. It may be worth calling and asking as THIS HOUSE was supposed to be no pets but, as we don't have kids and we're "mature adults" there was no problem.

Oh Star! What a bummer!! Better luck - quickly.
I finally got a call from our realtor. The people who looked at the house today were looking for their brother. They loved the house and also loved another one on our street, so it's a toss up between the two. Obviously, the brother who will actually be buying needs to come look for himself, so we'll probably show it again in a couple of days.
One of the people here today was blind. They commented on how nice it smelled!

Starwalker, I hate to hear that your house is in need of so much attention. It makes me so mad when I see that the structural integrity of a home has been jeopardized by plumbers cutting joists. That is pure and simple laziness and incompetence. I suppose it could have been an handyman or homeowner that did it, but come one - people need to use some common sense. Are you set on Milo? I looked on the Maine MLS last night and found a few houses in the $40's and $50's in other areas.
