Apparently not! I'm really not holding much more hope for them. I think surely they would have made a decision by now.

Well that stinks. Would your realtor be willing to call their realtor to see what the status is? Ours used to do that for us so that we weren't sitting there, jumping every time the phone rang. At least that way you would know for certain if they have ruled out your house, or if they are still considering it but having a hard time deciding.
Waiting is the worst!

Yep. She spoke to her last Friday, I believe. That was when our reduction news was presented to them. I have emailed our agent tonight to ask. I'd rather have a flat "Sorry, but" right now than no word at all.

Exactly what I was thinking. Twisting in the wind isn't fun at all.

Dear Friends
What a long strange trip it has been! I can bearly contain the JOY when I tell you that my partner and I now live in Maine! We had a wonderful trip across country and once again were filled with patriotic pride at the grandure and size of this beautiful country. We and the doggies, had a great trip! It seems like half of of the trip from Cal to Maine is Texas!
Appalachian Springtime is worthy of the symphony--the red bud and dog wood thru Tennessee and Virginia were glorious. Then as we moved upward into NY and Massachussets and NH it was like being in a reverse time machine--stepping back into late winter. We arrived in plenty of time for the closing and to make a good dent on the snow and ice that blocked the driveway at the new house before the furniture arrived.
Our whole experience with the purchase of the home was positive and fun. We had a wonderful buyer's agent who worked with us as if we were family...and while we were back in Ca he was able to represent us to the builder and make sure every thing was ready for the closing. The final walk thru was like the last five minutes of a successful TV program.
We are now living in a beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood, in a town that I love more each day. It is just enough "country" but also has many amenities and enrichments! We went to a string quartet concert and USM last evening....all this and culture too--from feeding wild turkeys in the back yard and then off to a concert! Everyone we have met, which includes most of the neighbors in our subdivision have been super friendly and welcoming.
We are in Maine and we are loving it! This is everything I had dared to dream of, and it is all coming true. Blessings Abound! I love being in proximity to family!
(I wont have time to catch up on everything, but suffice it to say, I am in Maine, I am planting rhododendrum and mungo pine and envisioning how to blend my yard (unlandscaped at this point), with the lovely woods that abut it on the back and the woodsy side yard with vernal pools and moss and ferns and who knows perhaps trillium or jack in the pulpits or lady slippers!
I am ecstatic. I hope that you are all well and that all your dreams are on their way of coming true.

So I was hoping this might be a good way to get some updates on previous Posters who were planning to Move to Maine, move out of Maine, with in Maine, or even those that came here to this website for other reasons.

I am in Caribou but contemplating moving around Bangor or Portland, while I like The County there are challenges up here. Mainly with distance to travel, plus I went through Augusta and liked the business and Organic stores etc. Where ever the wind takes me. I will have a social work degree and I want to serve either the elderly or alcoholic population.

Elston, Welcome home and welcome back onto C-D. We were wondering how you and DP were making out on your adventure to get here. Sounds like you are settling in great and I personally hope you find happiness and contentment in your new home and your new State.
