I can commiserate with you El; that was the most difficult part of "selling"....waiting and wondering about each showing....personalizing the process.....worrying over small details that might or might not influence a potential buyer....and finding out that many of them weren't really ready to buy or qualified to buy the house, even if they wanted to, or that the house just wouldnt fit their needs, even though they liked it.... It was so hard...especially when like you, I so badly wanted to be somewhere else.
It will eventually work out for you; I have no doubt of that....but the waiting is excruciating. For us, it has all been worth it.

27 days until we leave for Eastport with the truck - My goodness but our house is piled up with stuff for the truck. Can't get through the living room at all and only a path through the dining room. My son's room is stuffed to the gills (he doesn't live here) and we've got almost all the boxes filled and sealed, got all the important papers in one place, all the boxes are marked as to the contents - although I don't know why I did that since there's really no rhyme or reason to the box contents. The car goes in for inspection today and new brakes, the last corgi goes to the Vet for shots on Wednesday. We're close to ready.

Hey Corgis, we are in the same state of chaos.
We have 11 days until the movers come and we have piles/boxes everywhere.
It echoes in the living room now that the curtains are down.
It is getting hot here in Memphis and I can't wait to get to Maine.

Best of luck with your move! It's getting hot here in NC too. I'd give anything not to have to live though another summer here! (Woe is me!)

As for us, it doesn't look like it will happen until 2009, after we were so hopeful to be back home this year. DH's job is shaky, very shaky, which means we don't dare to over spend on the "flip" of this house but don't want to sell it until it's done. It would be pointless to lose money on it.
Looks like I have to start saying, "see you in '09"
