I don't want to give details yet, as it might jinx the whole thing, but fingers crossed for us this week coming up. Something might be happening that would make returning home a lot easier. Probably not quicker, but definitely easier.

Eating at Chase's will NOT be a problem and I will think of you while enjoying my lunch.

We have been visiting family all over the area and tomorrow we are checking out Brunswick/Topsham. DH may have a job opportunity in the area. Monday, we are heading to MDI. DH has never been and I want him to see the park before he flys back to TN.

I'm off to Hannaford's to fill up the pantry.

Doesn't it feel great! Even though I'm just a newcomer, I had an epiphany the other day, when one of my larger, old clients from NC (with whom I am still working, remotely) commented that she was sure I would be back there.

Now, mind you, we have yet to find "home" in the sense we need to -- our plot of Earth and trees with a cabin on it (and good internet connectivity for my work <g>) and are stuck for now in "the most ghetto trailer park" in my view...

But when faced with that opinion from my friend and client KA, and I thought about returning to NC, I realized that even "the most ghetto trailer park" in Maine is better for me than anything I could have (or even anything I couldn't have!) anywhere else, especially the South.

I love the fact that it's gardening weather and still of the morning I wear flannel; I love the fact that it is STILL SPRING ('cause in my book, it should be) and spring happens slowly enough you can enjoy it. I love the idea that we will not need the AC, most likely, even here if we are stuck through the summer; it COOLS OFF at night. The wind blows (and we can hear it in the trees).

So I told her (as gently as I could, because she is still a friend and a client) "I don't think so..." and I am happy here.
