Looks like we will be moving to Maine with a clean dog! LOL Brandi the wonder mutt had gotten to the "dirty dog" smell according to K, and it just happened to warm up here with a predicted high in the 60s today, and since K is here to help hoist the 108 lb Saint B into the tub... well it was Wash The Dog day, followed by Wash the Laundry (including towels) Day too...

Actually this dog would stand still for being done with the hair dryer, it's the doggy mama who lacks the patience for that! Summer baths for the huge hound were showers in the side yard, but it's not quite warm enough for that...

We had though about getting her a pair of Doggles, putting her in the back of the pickup and driving through the car wash, but I think she liked this better! <g>

No, I am not washing the cats, this time...

Now back to the regularly scheduled box-filling...

Ahhhhhhhh! That sounds wonderful! It will help house hunting if some of the snow has receeded! We should be up there on the 26th of the month to look at houses. Thanks for the good words.

Hooray Elston! We are all sending you good vibes, so here's hoping the rest of the selling process goes smoothly. Good luck finding your new home. It's a buyer's market with a big inventory, so maybe you'll have some really good negotiating power. I hope one of your dream homes works out. I know what you mean about keeping your cyber life separate from your "real life". While I'd love to meet so many of you in real life, being anonymous is sometimes fun too. But I simply must meet Msina one day so she can teach me how to bake properly.

May I volunteer, woxyroxme and myself as taste testers?

elston, congratulations on your upcoming sale and best of luck on your trip. As some have mentioned there is a lot of inventory to choose from, however I'm finding it very difficult to find quality, properly priced homes for today's discriminating buyer. I believe I read you had your eyes on two, I don't want to jinx you, but I think you need to increase your odds by adding more to your search. Sometimes a house that you personally drive by or view can be very different from the online advertising. Best of luck, my friend and please keep us all posted.

I appreciate that advise! Actually we have a list between 8 to 14 houses that we liked "on line" and my son and "daughter-in-love", went and scoped out three of them, so we have a bit of an eye ball report; one, passed the test of beautiful house, nice neighborhood, privacy and adequate land; two others also were in the running with the down side of being on busy roads, but well set back.

Will keep you all posted. Right now focusing on the repairs found in the inspection. Who said this would be easy?

I like those odds better! Those inspections are very tricky in this market. I've got a Gorham closing scheduled for Wednesday and we're trying to hash those out - the buyer agent finally sent their list over late yesterday, plus Monday is a holiday for the corporation that owns the home, it's coming right down to the wire!
