Please do! We'll only be two hours from Bangor, and the Calais Clan can go see the exhibit and brag about knowing one of the contributors. I grew up in a community where their art form is craftsmanship. My brother is a wood carver and does hand made knives. My brother in law used to make metal sculptures. My daughter loves needlework, especially knitting. She gets that from my mother, who did all kinds of needlecraft. I have five of her crochet pieces framed on my walls. What did you contribute, or did I miss that somewhere?

So, today is Brad's last day at work here. Woohoo! (kinda) But yes, woohoo! They fed him a nice BBQ lunch and had cake and ice cream. One of the guys even gave him a card and a restaurant gift card that we can use along the way. His boss told him that when they call for his reference from him, he's going to tell them to just send him back and he'll re-hire him. That was sweet!
The moving truck will be here tomorrow!

NOOOOOO! No hiring Brad back to Texas. I'm a klutz and I was counting on saving a few trips to the ER by having you guys for neighbors!

Those are beautiful! Have you done some barns that I can go photograph?

I have yet to paint one directly on a barn, though I likely will in the future. Most of what I do for outside are done on plywood disks that I cut and are mounted with screws. The inside ones I paint on muslin stretched in embroidery hoops.
We have one on our garage (mounted) and come spring, are re-painting the garage and putting a large one on the far end.

It's looking less and less like we'll make it back home this year DH is holding his own with work out here and I don't know that it would be smart to transfer even if the Maine territory opened up because the opening would only occur if the current rep couldn't make a go of it.
I just don't know how I'll survive another year out here.

You have my sympathies, and we are in a similar place. It seems like a good time to ride things out some more; I am sure it will all work out for the best for all of us having to wait for whatever reason. Hang in there, I'm rooting for you!
