Check out craigslist.com under Maine and you can look for rentals there. You can also look online for their newspaper for more adds.

And yes, longjohns are a great idea!! hahaha

Thanks for the feed back. I have the longjohns and Carhartt coveralls. I'll be working on building a new furnace at the papermill.Hopefully finding a reasonable place to rent won't be to difficult.

All joking aside check out Houlton Pioneer times that is the local paper Iam not sure if they have a website. IF not check out the Aroostook news. that is the paper for Presque Isle which is the biggest town in "the county" as it is called

Actually... the largest paper for Presque Isle is the Star-Herald, the Aroostook Republican is based in Caribou and is a smidge smaller.

I grew up in Houlton and still have family there that we visit. The Houlton Pioneer Times comes out once a week and is a very small paper. They still are not online. Not a bunch of rental property in town but some. I know of the two primary realty agencies there but do not know if they do any type of property management. As far as long johs and parka... don't believe it for a minute. Unless you are coming from the tropics you will be fine and acclimate. I only wore long johns when plowing snow on the tractor and when I was skiing and out on the snowsled. They were in the 90's last week and they have not gotten the type of snow I remember in the past few years.
Check out Mooers Realty or First Choice Real Estate, Houlton, Maine ... I am pretty sure they don't have rentals listed but would have a way to contact them to get info on what you are looking for. Good luck.
