Humorous. Maybe she just time away from the guv. A lot of the population wishes/hopes to get time away from him soon.

But I agree that $70k is stupid for a Governor. The mayor of Philadelphia makes $115k, an entity about the same size as Maine, in population.

I do not see why this is 'news worthy'.

I guess people believe what they want to believe, and when they see things in the news or legislature that violate they way they want to see it, they just ignore what they see.

It is a disheartening though that he and his wife have a hard time getting by on 70k and yet he feels fine to cut food stamps to Maine's disabled people, vets, and children just because the federal government won't let him control people's sugar intake

They are getting by OK.....she just wants a NEW car. So she is going to work her tail off and then buy one. That's all. Seems like a great example.
I am a social worker and I work with people all the time who just will not work......

Maine's most popular governor in history did not cut ANY food stamps to "Maine's disabled people, vets, and children". He did put a limit as to how long able bodied people can stay on the dole instead of going to work. Maine's unemployment is down to 3.5% and employers cannot find people who want to work this summer. Ann jumped in to help out a local business. The LePage family owns a home in Boothbay Harbor.
