What's wrong with being Norwegian?

People of a state should be able to discuss concerns they might have without being silenced by the brainwashed politically correct crowd. If the PC people do not agree with someone, they automatically label them as "xenophobic" or "racist". Using those terms makes them feel superior or righteous in some way. Maine should do what is best for Maine, and people should be able to discuss that.

By the way, there are are good and bad alternative news sites. There are some that are complete garbage, but some that are really great. I am thankful for alternative news, so that the corporate owned & Gov't influenced mainstream media can no longer control and manipulate the people as their only source of information.

Good natured banter between Scandinavians. I'm half and half, but 100% Scadinavian by ancestry.

Some people wake up in the morning thinking, How can I be offended today? Scandinavians don't do that.

Most were bought here by Catholic Charities. There is a lot of money in bringing foreigners to the USA. The Somalis picked Georgia. They figured they would fit right in. The African Americans in Georgia were indifferent to Muslims so the Somalis got on the Internet and searched for the state with the best welfare benefits. (This was in the John Baldacci era.) Then they searched for the highest vacancy rate in Section 8 housing. Bingo! Lewiston, Maine. They chartered buses and headed for Lewiston. It's a really long story, but that answers Kevin's question. That's how they got to Maine.

Surprising that they would be willing to live in such a cold climate like Maine being that they are native to one of the hottest places in the world. Seems like Georgia, while having coolish/cold days in the winter would be much better, even though benefits would be less.

The "benefits" in 1870 were along the lines of "how can we Mariners benefit from you coming into the country??"
Now the word means "how much money can I get if I move to place X or place Y?"

Catholic Charities receives about 2/3 of its funding from government, and thus promotes government agendas. To believe otherwise is naive. They have become social justice warriors, and stand in the way of welfare reform. As such, they whole-heartedly believe that taxes are good, and that what's yours belongs to everybody else. This is called socialism.

Unfortunately, they only way to defeat socialism is with prosperity. Equally unfortunately, we are in an economic slump and are unlikely to see a whole lot of prosperity anytime soon. Thus, Catholic Charities rides on the largess of the income tax system, which hurts the working man. We have enough native-born Americans equally if not more deserving of our welfare dollars, than immigrants brought here specifically to collect them.

Until more state governors grow a pair and refuse to take federal dollars for any projects at all, the political cycle of fed-money-for-compliance will never be broken, and sharks like Catholic Charities will continue to circle the waters looking for new blood.

Muslim immigrants come from the worst societies on the planet, and vote the most for Democrats. The nature of immigration right now is importation of Democrat voters. At all costs.

Ben Carson could be a good great step in the right direction being the new secretary of housing (which controls the Sec 8 "free housing" program). Ben Carson is not a fan of political correctness. He came from a impoverished background to become one of the top Neurosurgeons in the country, and he believes it was *individual effort* that got him there, not Gov't programs. He believes welfare creates "dependency". Now THAT is a breathe of fresh air for a change!
