I honestly can't see how adding a few feet of stack can help,even 30'. My chimney is almost 30' from ground level and this morning with the heavy rain the smoke was covering part of the house like a cloud. The wood smoke is bad enough but on occasion I will burn coal, which almost smells like hair burning..
You learn to LIVE WITH IT.. In another couple of weeks when it's really foggy and the air is heavy I'll get to enjoy the aroma therapy from the tannery, about three miles up river
, But mostly during the spring thaw.
