Wretched Mess Coming
Welcome to spring.
We are under a winter storm warning until this time Friday night. It's a little of everything, but it will be a foot of snow sleet and ice, sometimes sideways. Before it's over, Caribou and many other towns will break their all time records for snow in Maine.

This is one of the few times of the year when I'm glad to live within a mile or two of the coast. It's raining here now and is just supposed to rain off and on for the next couple of days. Maybe another 1/2 inch of snow. You folks inland are in for some slop!

Oh no, not more snow! Mother Nature really took her fury out on Maine this year.
Stay safe everyone!

In the 50's 60's and early 70's winters like this were'nt all that unusual. Snowless winters like last year and 2003-2004 were very rare back then. We may be in for a cool summer too.

As my grandmother would say, "Hush!".

I had to drive down to Skowhegan today, heavy snowing the entire time that I was down there. They had very little on the ground, but I was glad to get back up here. We have much more on the ground but nothing was falling.

Snowing pretty good right now in Washburn. Nothing bad, but very steady with 3 or 4" on the ground already this morning. As long as the freezing rain holds off I'll be happy. Just a few more inches and the #1 snowfall record for a season will be all ours. yesterday we stood at 171.7" and the old record set back in 1955 is 181.1" Looks like this storm may push us over the edge.

By the looks of your landscape...I would say it is always snowing there.
My sister came down to York from Prsque Isle yesterday (Parents 65th anniversary) and now seems that maybe she is stuck if she wants to stay out of a storm.
Most of our snow is gone.

Scott, I just looked at your forecast, holy cow! You must be thinking 'enough already'! I know I would be. I saw they're calling for another 8-12 up there. My son will be riding up there again this weekend, of course he's thrilled! He figures they've got many more weekends of riding time ahead. Wow. They'll be at Russells again this weekend. He's looking forward to it and says he's put more miles on his sled this yr than the last 2 yrs combined on his previous sled.He and his Dad average 200 - 220 miles a day. Me? A hundred and I'm done. Oh, to be young again....
