I always use the concentrated food coloring that you use for icing. The colors are bold and bright, and the variety that you can get is more than you would ever get in any kit. One of our favorite things to do is dip an egg in one particular color, then after it dries put star stickers or circles or even rubber bands around it, and dip it in another color. They are beautiful when you remove the stuff and leave the initial color! We've also drawn faces or designs with a white crayon, and of course when it's dipped that resists. Last year when we hollowed the eggs the girls used fine tip permanent markers on them and drew patterns and designs....it's so much fun, and so easy to be creative and not limit yourself to the usual stuff

Yes, it was a lovly Maine sunny day. Even thou we worked, my parents were able to come to work and have dinner with us. That made it more Easter to me then anything.

My youngest daughter came to work on Saturday and she dyed Eggs there and was sweet enough to give some to the staff. I think that made their hearts smile too.

What did you have for dinner on Easter countrylv? Did you have traditional Ham or Turkey, or did you have what my Dad had... fried clams? hehe
My mom, my oldest daughter and I went with traditional ham with a cherry sauce and my youngest joined my Dad with a summer time fav ~a grilled hotdog.
Oh, if you see the "Spring Train" runnin' up the tracks give a train whistle this way.
