This year I've got the meat and potatoes....and I opted for a monster whole fresh ham. Just didn't want to go the smoked pink ham route. Besides, the leftovers make great cuban sandwiches! Another neighbor is bringing Pacific Salmon (he fishes in Alaska in the summer so this should be good). The other neighbor is bringing their special asparagus salad with walnuts and blue cheese. My BF is a pastry chef, and does the BEST desserts, which this year is banana & chocolate Charlotte cake. Safe and happy holiday wishes to you all!

Sounds great what time should we be there? Can we bring anything?

dinner starts at 6p, but the champagne starts flowing around 4:30 (we splash it with orange juice, that way it's a healthy beverage ). We always have extra room....we'll save you a chair.

I am going to Bath to check out the Maritime Museum. As for dinner, I dunno. A Chipotle burrito would be nice.

This year we are skipping the whole business. I've been sick since Wednesday evening, DH is now coming down with it. Tea and toast might be the best bet.

I will be celebrating the day with my lovely 15 yr old niece visiting from Maine .
She and I have decided to do a big Easter breakfast and then spend some time out on the beach with friends/ neighbors. She has requested an Easter BBQ on her last night here, so we're all meeting back up later and grilling poolside during early evening.
I will be sorry to see her leave however, she's due back at Gould on Monday.
A truely lovely young lady and it has been so much fun having a teenager around again!
I am blessed.

Sorry to hear that you guys are sick. Half our shop has been down with the flu and my wife is just coming out of it. I haven't had it yet thank God. Maybe the flu shot I got last fall worked... I still would rather have won powerball.

You are blessed. You live in a warm area, have a lovely family and have a sense of humor to fend off the nasties. You'll always be happy!

We cooked the ham today and glazed it with some new Maine maple syrup and crushed pineapple, a few cloves sauteed in the glaze before coating the ham and it was .. SUPERB! DW said it was the best Easter ham ever.

That Ham sounds great! I am so full!!! We had ham, potatoes, salad, homemade bisquits, deviled eggs, pasta and strawberry shortcake...homemade. I feel like I gained 5 lbs!
All these holidays and I am still eating, it's time to start working out for awhile...
