northern aroostook facts
I am hopefully going to be living in the county soon, when it comes to things like motor vehicle regestration, and paying property taxes are those things done at a central location or in the local towns. I have looked at the various websites for maine and i'm just about blind trying to find the right pages. Any thoughts about anything else i will have to know will be helpful.

Property tax is paid at the town office, unless you are in an un-organized Township, then you send it directly to the State as far as I know. (Forest Beekeeper will know for sure) Vehicle registration, you will go to Caribou for that if you are in Aroostook county. There is a mobile unit that makes a once a month stop in Fort Kent, but they can only handle drivers licenses and state ID cards. They are in Fort Kent on (and I am not making this up) the Wednesday following the third Tuesday of the month.
Here is where you find the registration information: Registration & Titles, Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles
This is the Drivers License page: Driver Licenses & IDs, Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles

Hello,
I did see where someone posted the info for you and they are correct. I'm just curious how you decided to move to that part of Maine.
I spend every summer on Long Lake and have a few cabins that we rent out. I LOVE it there! Frenchville is between Madawaska and Fort Kent and has been my stomping ground for many years. Not many people know of "Northern Maine".
