It used to be that something actually had to take place to cause a rise or fall in speculative buying and selling in the market. Traders are now such a spooked bunch that if someone sneezes it's bird flu and the country will surely perish before the next bell rings on Wall Street. There is no reality involved in the speculative trading of oil, it's like Global warming crap. They keep talking about it and drilling it into people so much they actually begin to believe there is something to it. There isn't, anymore than a hurricane should drive up the prce of oil over night. It's all a scam and the American public are the ones getting scammed every day.
i agree with you to a point. i don't however think that there is anything wrong with speculating. the issue i have is that the big speculators can be frivolous with their bets and when it doesn't work out they run to congress looking for taxpayer support or to the fed looking for an inflationary bailout.

a long time ago when my stupid investments didn't pan out there was no-one bailing me out. i don't see why they have to start now. they just end up encouraging malinvestment which the tax payer and dollar saver ultimately pay for

OIL

Is it really difficult to see that the run up in oil or energy is because of a multitude of reasons....increase global demand......instability.......weak dollar.......media hype......speculators.....ect

GLOBAL WARMING

I just read and saw on tv and heard on the radio that this past winter the earth cooled .7 degrees Celsius (spelling). This was the biggest drop ever recorded in history, (remember this past winter), it brought the global temp back to where it was in 1933. There was also more ice build up then ever recorded.

what does all this mean.................WHO REALLY KNOWS???
