Sixty percent of the lawn is visible now and at least half of the big field behind the house. My deck is finally clear and the patio only has about six to eight inches of snow left on it(down from 3 feet a week and a half ago).
The snow banks on the side of the road are finally gone although I still have some good sized drifts and plowing banks left to go. They say 60's around here tomorrow! YAY! That should put a good dent in the rest of this stuff!
Unless we get more snow I'd say 80%-90% of the snow around here (Freeport) will be gone by this time next week. How's the rest of the State fairing?

The deck is clear as of today,.. The yard is still under well over a foot of snow with banks about 3 feet high on either side of the driveway but, there is clear ground where they hauled away the snow by truck out front at the road edge. Where the snow is gone, it's mud. Spring is definately on it's way.

It is melting fast. It's still over 40 degrees now 11:20 PM. The deer are loving the reappearing grass. We had seven in the field behind the house last night.
One had a pretty good limp but seemed to be able to keep up with the rest of them OK.

We are discovering things!

I discovered our parking lot curb! It was lost months ago, but here it is.

Our mop bucket and wringer was discovered yesterday.

We hope to find our garden soon

Before the next heavy dump that is.

When do you figure the next dump will be?

I think it will be a week or two. We're bound to go into the cold pattern again before May. Hopefully it won't last long. I'd even bet we see a two or three inch storm in May.

We still have a bit on the ground, but I found my utility trailer yesterday so it is looking up. The grill is still missing in action though. I suspect it will make an appearance sometime this week-end if it keeps this warm. Still have 3 feet of snow in my yard though, and the plowed banks are still 5 or 6 feet tall so we have a ways to go, we did gain a LOT of ground this last week though. The roads that were down to 1 or 1 1/2 lanes are back to 2 lane and the others you can see a few of the ditches again. There is even some bare ground in the wind swept areas of fields.

I was working down in Houlton yesterday and actually saw a few flowers (small, but still yellow flowers nevertheless) . Amazing how much difference 50 miles makes.
