hey all. im a stay at home mom, unfortch living in the south. we're from vermont, but my husband's job has landed us here for two more years. recently i went home to vermont for a visit and was not as infatuated with it as i remember. my husband and i have always loved coastal maine, and i think we have decided to set our sites on the prize. we're looking at the saco/biddeford area as well as bar harbor/ellsworth area. it all depends on the hospitals in the areas....hopefully something pans out!

i can't wait to read more on this forum. i have saved it to favorites and emailed my husband the biddeford discussions. thanks to all for posting great info.

Hey Sugar! So where in the south are you now? We're in Texas - Houston area. And what does DH do for a living that keeps him near the hospitals? Yes, we're full of questions around here, but also full of other stuff! Which you get remains to be seen on a daily basis! And most here are full of very helpful and enlightening info.

Welcome to the forum!

Well, if your DH is in the medical field, he should have no problem finding a job. We're Mainers living in the south. We're just outside of Memphis. I long to go home, too. But with all this talk about the budget crunch and all, I think we'll stay put for at least another year.

Welcome!

thanks for the welcome. my dh is an ob/gyn resident physician. (it's not too terrible where we're at...but it's not home!) we can't wait to leave and to raise our children in the environment we're used to.

My DP and I just moved to Maine (Gorham) from southern California. We are loving every moment and every experience associated with the move. We have had one wonderment after another....welcome to our new home and to the forum...which provide me with a bridge to my new home.
