Default Original Tabor

Politicians everywhere seem to have a leg up on what their citizenry want. Interesting read on the original Tabor in Colorado...if link doesn't work it's at Colorado's home-page for breaking news, weather, sports, local events and entertainment - The Denver Post

TABOR deal starts to unravel - The Denver Post

Bring on TABOR once more!

The people of Maine are ready for it. I don't let the MSEU and MEA bully me around. They are our worst enemies!

TABOR is simply a mechanism where if government wants to raise taxes they have to ask those who actually pay the taxes. What an idea! If a town needs a new plow truck they just explain why and the people approve it. TABOR would prevent runaway spending. In Colorado TABOR resulted in millions of dollars in excess taxation to be returned to the taxpayers. When the people regained control of government they put TABOR on a moratorium. Colorado did NOT revoke or reject TABOR. They have a temporary moratorium in effect. That makes it easier for a town to spend more on fuel increases than the average cost of living increase.

What a concept.... ask before you spend other people's money. Explain why something is deemed necessary. If the taxpayers do not agree with you then you do without! Great idea where do we sign up this State?
