It's not rude, it is this way. My BIL owns a lobster boat. He doesn't hire someone new to the area until he's sure they're going to stay. It takes too long to train a stern man to have him leave in a month.

Does yor BIL live in Eastport? DH has always had a very physical job and would love to work on the water. Just saying, you never know if I could line up a job that may cut the 13 years of waiting down to 5 or so!

js2743 is on a distinguished road
have family in aroostook county and this past winter they had around 200 inches of snow and it dont melt away like it does here in the southern states when it snows it stays till spring.
