SAT Test if you get bored in the snow?
Okay, I have too much time on my hands waiting to hear about my job interviews in Maine! Maybe next winter when the snow is deep and you don't want to get out, I have something fun (or frustrating) for you to do! Take a sample SAT test!!!! OMG, I would be in trouble if I had to pass one now!!! Have fun!

Oh there is an idea I am going to pass on. At times I feel my brains are withering away as it is, I am NOT going to take a test that proves it . LOL

I don't know if I want to find out my score. I've probably forgotten commonsense questions.

Wouldn't it be less painful to just go for the direct approach?
Jab my face with a fork.
It inflicts pain, loss of self-esteem, is quick and easy. As soon as your done, you can curse yourself for being so stupid.

This is a great idea, and one that we are going to implement at my high school I teach at. Faculty will be taking a mock SAT to see what the questions are like, how worded, and what info is in the test. I proctored a test recently, and went through the test questions. Many I could solve and be quite comfortable with the answer, but there were some that I had absolutely no clue.
It would be entertaining for people who complain about the quality of education to take the exam and see just what is expected. It may change their opinion, or it may enforce it.

Forest,
Please don't jab yourself in the face! I would feel terrible, not to mention what you would feel like! I posted this thread early this morning AND after attempting to go to sleep - worried too much about my score - I decided that the moderator(s) need to delete this thread. I am still depressed....... PLEASE DELETE

SAT Test
I am taking it once again on June 7th. I have been tutoring a bunch of 7th and 8th graders after school all year and we are all driving to Machias in a caravan to take the SAT test. I find it fun to take the test with them-afterward we can really talk about the test and it is amazing how fresh it keeps you as a teacher to have to "test" yourself every couple of years. : ) Going for the perfect 800 math is a fun challenge!

I generally don't; perhaps my sense of humour is a bit to obtuse.
