If you are looking for good soil, you need to look at the County. Caribou loam specifically is the best growing soil in the State. There is a bunch of land with Caribou loam in the Littleton area. Mostly it's land East of Rt1, but anywhere in that area is good soil. I did a quick search on Zillow and came up with this one. The town has it appraised for $58,000 and it's for sale for $25,000. You don't find places for sale less than appraised value very often. This place has been empty for a year or so. Probably the owner died and the Estate just wants to get rid of it. It definitely needs some work, but there is a lot of potential.

That is a heck of a deal, but it's only .9 acres! :-( thank you for the info though, we will look closer at the Caribou area.
