Default Kennebunk or Falmouth choice for family

We relocated this past winter and have been living in Kennebunk and looking for a place to buy between here and Greater Portland. It is coming down to Kennebunk and Falmouth. Both areas have it's highlights. Being so new it is hard to make a decision. Love the advice for those in the "know"

Great schools, strong sense of community, and young families is key -thanks

Default Both good, but check out Yarmouth!

That's a tough decision. I currently live in Kennebunk, but lived for a short period as a teenager in Falmouth. Falmouth is closer to Portland so you have an easier commute to the cultural hub. Kennebunk is a good place with good schools and has a better actual downtown. Falmouth has become quite commercial and doesn't have a nice Main Street. Might I suggest Yarmouth. GREAT school system, wonderful downtown with a quintessential Main Street, and a great community feel.

Default Kennebunk

Hi! We are thinking of moving to Kennebunk next year. Would you say it is easy to meet people? We have two children-a boy 10 and a girl 13. We are coming form Fairfield, CT-nice town, just too expensive. Thank you!

I agree with Maureen, Yarmouth is the choice for the coast. Falmouth is extremely expensive. Maybe Saco though. A nice downtown and another good school dept.

You are basically trading one "expensive" place for another. How about Arundel?
