DH and I just planned a weekend coming up this month when we will send the kids off to Grammy's and just spend a whole night and day at home - alone - in the peace and quiet.

I don't want to travel. I don't want to go out to the movies, though we will have dinner close by. I just want peace and quiet and to cuddle up in my jammies and watch a movie on the couch without 3 kiddos demanding all my attention! And I want to sleep past 7am on a Saturday.

That, to me, is the perfect weekend of relaxation!

That is perfect. I remember when ours was young, I used to look so forward to uninterrupted snuggle time!!!

Our daughter was gone overnight Friday. It was great! The kids usually pile in here for the night because we have the outdoor fireplace and no neighbors. They can stay out by the fire and be noisy without disturbing anyone. Once in a great while they go some where else and it's a real treat.

Steve has no idea I'm putting this together. I told him nobody does much for their 20th, you're supposed to wait til the 25th. I did try to schedule a meeting for the evening of our anniversary and he put his foot down about that (I knew he would!).

I will! I want to hear where you're going too. If it's great maybe that's where we'll go. I'm starting to lean toward the Lucerne Inn.

We pull out in the morning for our get away to some of the most beautiful land in Ohio. Wonder if the outside hottub is in view of anyone? Did I mention that no kids or dogs are allowed and 9 state parks are in the area?

It is planned. After going back and forth from Coastal parts of Maine... and St. Andrews N.B.
.. we have planned to go to

drum roll please..
"Europa" in St. Andrews.
It's only a 20 minute drive into Canada for us so it will get us away, with out the long ride Maine has so much to offer, and alot of the places we wanted to try, wasn't completely open and functional for another few weeks. We were disappointed about that. Maybe in the fall we could catch them before they close for the season.

I'll let you know how it goes. It was booked with Visa.. so it's in STONE ( well as far as I figure it is) hehe

You all just can't imagin how mentally resting this will be. Well.. maybe you can.
