Looking for a Bean Hole Bean Supper in Southern Maine. My husband never heard of one. I, too, grew up in Yarmouth but the Bean Hole Bean Suppers I really remember were held at the Grange Hall in North Yarmouth. Do you know how I can find a schedule of Bean Hole Bean Suppers being held? Thanks

Here's one in the mid-coast area:
Maine Food & Lifestyle's Blog: A Bean Hole Supper at Maine Fare
Here's another... this one is on the Rockport/Camden line:
Old-Fashioned Maine Bean Hole Supper at Camden-ME Venue in Camden, ME – CultureMob
Harpswell had theirs on August 8th.
There's a good one in Patten every year, but that's a bit of a ride. Pretty though. Love Patten.
I would think they'd be listed in your community events section of your local town paper. I saw plenty of them on google that have already gone by this year. Some towns hold them multiple times a year as fundraisers. Shouldn't be too difficult to find one to try out. Or you could do your own!

The North Yarmouth "Fun Day" usually has a bean hole supper. I think it's the 19th-20th this year. Perhaps if you call the Town Hall they can give you some info on the schedule.

A little further inland we have Bean hole beans and BBQ later this weekend at the Piscataquis County Fair in Dover-Foxcroft. Demolition Derby the same day I think. It's a nice time to visit the area and sample the entire region for a few days.

Was this person wearing flannel and blue jeans and a ball cap that read~"if the bean pots popping- don't bother stopping?"
hummm...
( I have a witness `I wasn't there in my disguise this time...)

I'm confused. Fire needs air to burn. If you bury it, aren't you eliminating the air?
