Considering Acton, Maine...would like to buy land, then build at a later date. Any thoughts, info, impressions of Acton? Is there a grocery store there? Where would the nearest shopping be? Don't need nightlife, just basics. A restaurant or two, breakfast place..(don't need a pizza place, my homemade is better!) For instance, if I needed to buy dog food and trash bags, how far would I have to drive?
Anyone live in or near Acton? What do you like/dislike? Any info at all would be greatly appreciated! ![]() |

Population 2145. It's probably the most rural or country town in Southern Maine. It's "undiscovered". I would say land there would be a good investment.

Thanks.....from what I can gather, it looks quite rural, quiet, nice. I really need to just drive up and drive around these places to really get a feel. Sometimes, though, it's nice to hear from folks familiar with an area. I seem to find myself all over the map looking at land....am trying to narrow down a few towns to concentrate on.
