Do You Play Golf?
I'll come right out and tell you up front. I don't play golf, never have and most likely never will.
My Brother-In-Law is almost a semi pro and plays a lot. My brother plays several times a summer and plays at a few charity tournaments.
Personally I think most golf courses would make excellent motocross courses....that's just me.
A co-worker of my DW is obsessed with golf. If he can't play around here he flies somewhere where he can every chance he gets. He goes to places that have some kind of video golf in the winter. He spends every dime he makes on golf memberships, clothes, shoes, a zillion different clubs , balls and whatever else goes with it. He even has a condo ON a golf course.
I have other friends who sort of "pretend " to play golf. They rent a cart, take a cooler of beer and ride around drinking beer for the afternoon.
I might be persuaded to try that kind of golf sometime.
How about you?? Do you play golf?

I've never been real interested in the sport myself. I've always thought it seemed pretty boring and not fast paced enough to hold my interest. It wasn't too long ago that someone explained to me a little more about the game. The explanation involved more towards the attitude of the game and it being a "gentlemans game", therefore the use of profanities is looked down upon. That then explained why I don't know more people that play. That and the proper golf attire seem a little out of my realm.
I too would be more interested in the cart and cooler version of the game and always managed to do pretty well at miniature golf. Especially the windmill hole !
What about disc golf? Do you play? My kids love it and play often, is that just a kid thing?

I do not golf.
I do enjoy fencing, I have competed, and I have coached a highschool fencing team.
But I do not play golf.

Have you ever met someone who just can't throw a frisbee in a straight line??? That's me! I'm OK at horse shoes, lawn darts (before they were outlawed), even croquet occasionally and can flip a mean beer cap but I couldn't hit my barn with a frisbee from ten feet away.

I hurl a frisbee and it usually ends up behind me somewhere.
Badmitton, now there's my game.
Beer cap flipping? No can do, not that I haven't tried. It's definitely a guy thing!

I always thought mortar golf might be fun. They don't have to necessarily be exploding mortars maybe more like big paint balls so you can see where they splat. You could set up different targets at different distances and see who can splat the target the best. Like a white car or something. It would be fairly quiet outside of the thump of the mortar shell leaving the tube. You'd have to drink while playing this sport ...hey it's in the rule book!
