Default Suggestions for move to BNAS

I'm transferring to BNAS in February and am coming up to the area next week to look for a house to rent. I was wondering if there is any cities/towns I should stay away from. Also any recommendations on nice places would be a great help. We're looking at Bath right now. I really want a small town feel where my family and I can walk to most places. Where I live now we have to drive to get everywhere. Thanks for the help.

Bath is nice except for quitting time at the"Yahd" otherwise known as Bath Iron Works. The traffic can really be bad at times. As far as bad towns in the area there really are not anythat I would avoid

BNAS is also being shut down so it would probally be a good idea for base housing to avoid mortages and rent.
