Default Do you have to have your own car to take the road test at the dmv

here in florida you have to have your own car with insurance is it the same in maine

You need to have A car -- could be a friend's or relative's vehicle -- legally registered, inspected, and insured. The state does not provide a car for road tests.

I used my brother's car back in 1974 to take my test! It was the only car in the family with an automatic transmission!

My daughter used 3 different vehicles the three times she took. First, was her best friend's car. Then a truck belonging to a friend of ours, and finally our truck. Either they were tired of seeing her or took pity on her, because she still cannot drive!

i took my test in my dads truck a 1963 gmc three on the tree.
