Default R/C is fun...

My future plans include an R/C dirt track...tinkering with radio control vehicles is pretty fun, and having your own private track is even better. I also wouldn't mind getting back into model railroading, or finding a vintage motorcycle to restore. Roasting coffee beans and brewing beer are on the to-do list as well....

Default and my woodwork

this is all for now.............dont understand why my last post did not take all the images..oh well
The first is an entertainment center I made for our home.
The next is a Cardinal Shelf I made.
Then we have my Seagull in Flight Shelf.
Then my Wishing Well.
Then last is a sign I am carving to go out in my yard for my wood shop.
And a couple views of my workshop.

Thank You Maineah. I use mostly recycled lumber on all my projects. The wife and I take drives and if we see a construction site we ask if we can take the throw away stuff or if we pass a building being torn down we ask the crew if we can pick through and take what we want before it goes to the dump. Then we also gather drift wood from the shore bring it home clean it up and see what I can make from it.

fortunata will become famous soon enoughfortunata will become famous soon enough
I started reading through all these wondering if there are any miniaturists, and I did find miniature railroading, so that kinda counts.
I design and build dollhouses and then often some furniture to go in them. I've always been fascinated by old houses and how people lived in them in the past, and have done quite a bit of research. My husband isn't into old houses like I am, so I decided to build myself some in 1:12 scale. The kitchen below is in a bungalow I designed and built. I made the furnishings contemporary for a change. I made most of the furniture in this room. Pictures were published in a couple of magazines. I also used to paint, a British magazine published photos of the mural in my upstairs hallway.
