From what I understand, when a vehicle is leased, it is transfered from the dealer's ownership and inventory, to ownership by an arm of General Motors financial division. There is the motive by the dealers to dump these liabilities, even at a loss, because they cost the dealer big money while they're sitting on his lot. Although, now scrap metal is getting more and more valuable. I wonder what metal is recoverable from these 10,000 lb vehicles?

Maineah, no. When I saw that thing years ago, I thought it was a sign of extravagance maybe, but after a while it was a hoot to see around the area. Have not seen it lately though but I have seen a ton of Priuses.

I have nothing against the Hummer btw. I just like to make sense of things as a market demand and supply issue. More power to anyone who can make a consistent dollar off of a stretch Hummer.
