Maybe you will just be a late comer like us!

Shotgun greets Maine metal thieves

I'd like to articulate on my previous comment ("Keep your shotgun handy") by presenting the following recent news article that has many of us cheering:

I cheered him on to but it doesn't change what I'll do. Keeping a shotgun at easy reach in a business open to the public isn't a good idea for me. I can't keep an eye on people, especially children, at all times.

You're right - it takes responsibility.

I don't know what else to say. At least I didn't leave it in San Francisco.
I guess my favorite thing about Maine is visiting once a year. I wish it could be more. I need to figure that out soon. Living in a city gets old. Maneuvering all the rolling phone booths in traffic and standing in lines at stores will get to you after awhile. And the only conversation you get in stores is corporate conversation. What they've been taught to say to comfort you while you wait.

For me,
Explaining my favorite thing about Maine, is like someone asking me... "Why do you love your children so much."
It's all the little things that roll it into one big happy moment.
The air, the trees, my home, the stars, the lake you sat at with the love of your lif~ while danglin' your feet in the water together. Watching your children play outside with less fear that anyone would take them, when the neighbor would be there to protect them in a heart beat.
the list goes on and on.
